Five Mechanical Faults of Diesel Forklifts and Their Solutions

1. To ensure the service life of mechanical components and sealing elements in the hydraulic control oil circuit of the system, the normal working pressure of the control oil circuit should be 1.1–1.4 MPa. 2. Forklifts with automatic transmission should use 6# hydraulic transmission oil and a corrugated oil tank; vehicles with manual transmission should use gear oil. The operating oil temperature should be between 70–95°C, and prolonged use above 95°C is not permitted. 3. Cleaning and maintenance of the automatic transmission: Generally, the lubricating oil in the forklift gearbox should be replaced every six months for cleaning and maintenance purposes. 4. Regarding the replacement and cleaning intervals of the forklift oil filter: A new forklift should have its first replacement within 50 hours, followed by replacements every 200 hours and every 1,200 hours; under harsh environmental conditions, an additional replacement every 600 hours is also required. 5. When shifting gears on a forklift, the micro valve should be closed first before shifting; when braking, the micro valve must be closed first before braking. This prevents clutch damage or brake failure.
