I. Daily Maintenance (After each shift or every 8-10 hours)
Cleaning and Inspection
Clean mud and grease from the machine body, especially the radiator, engine compartment, and other areas. Check tire/track wear, air pressure, or tension (for wheel-type models). Check whether lights, gauges, and horn are functioning properly.
Lubrication Points
Apply grease (lithium-based) to lubrication points such as articulation pins, boom/bucket joints, etc., to ensure smooth movement of moving parts.
Fluid Checks
Engine oil: Check oil level (10 minutes after shutdown), top up if low. Coolant: Check level (only when engine is cold), avoid overheating due to low coolant. Hydraulic oil: Check oil level; oil should be clear and free of contaminants. Brake fluid/transmission oil: Check oil level (depending on machine model).
Tightening and Leak Checks
Check whether bolts and nuts (e.g., on wheel hubs, drive shafts) are loose. Check for oil leaks (hydraulic hoses, engine), water leaks, and air leaks.
II. Periodic Maintenance (Based on operating hours or monthly intervals)
1. 50-Hour/Weekly Maintenance
Replace engine oil filter (first maintenance should be done earlier). Clean or replace air filter (shorten interval in dusty environments). Check battery electrolyte and terminal connections.
2. 250-Hour/Monthly Maintenance
Replace engine oil (intervals may vary by oil brand; refer to the manual). Replace hydraulic oil filter; check whether hydraulic oil is emulsified or contaminated. Transmission/axle oil: Check oil quality, replace if necessary. Brake system: Check brake pad wear and brake line sealing.
3. 500-Hour/Quarterly Maintenance
Replace fuel filter and drain water from the water separator. Check steering system: Check steering cylinder and hoses for oil leaks, and steering responsiveness. Electrical system: Check wiring for aging; clean the alternator and starter motor.
4. 1000-Hour/Annual Maintenance
Comprehensively replace all fluids: including hydraulic oil, transmission oil, axle oil, and coolant. Clean the radiator: Remove oil, dirt, and debris to prevent overheating. Check the drive system: Check gear wear on drive shafts, differentials, and wheel hub reducers.
III. Seasonal Maintenance
Winter
Replace with low-viscosity oil (e.g., 5W-30) and antifreeze coolant. Add anti-gelling additive to the diesel tank (use -35# diesel in extremely cold regions). Drain water from the radiator and hydraulic system after shutdown (if no antifreeze is used).
Summer
Pay special attention to cleaning the radiator to avoid overheating. Check air conditioning refrigerant (if equipped).
IV. Long-Term Storage Maintenance
Park on dry, level ground with the bucket resting flat on the ground. Disconnect the battery negative terminal and charge periodically. Start the machine once a month and run the hydraulic system to prevent seal deterioration.
Precautions
Use genuine parts: Inferior filters or fluids will accelerate wear. Keep a maintenance log: Track the next maintenance time and replacement items. Adjust for special working conditions: Shorten maintenance intervals in harsh environments such as mines or deserts.
Regular maintenance can reduce failure rates by 80%. For specific intervals, always refer to the equipment manual. If any abnormality is detected (e.g., unusual noise, loss of power), stop the machine immediately and perform repairs.
