Gently pry open the battery cover with a hard tool. Some battery covers are attached with ABS, some batteries are snapped together, and others use a slide-type structure. Be careful not to damage the cover when prying it open. At this point, you can see the rubber caps of the six exhaust valves; open the rubber caps to expose the vent holes, through which you can see the inside of the battery. On some batteries, the exhaust valve seat can be unscrewed without opening the rubber exhaust valve; on others, the rubber caps are surrounded by filler material. After opening the cover, first check whether there are dry areas in the holes and the water level condition to determine if the battery is short of water. The battery plates are wrapped in white fiberglass and usually need to be moistened. Use a dropper to draw in distilled water and pour it into the battery through the vent holes. Then cover the battery vents with a breathable protective cap to prevent dust from falling in. Medical-grade distilled water is recommended. When refilling, keep the liquid level low, but do not overfill; if too much water is added, it will dilute the electrolyte, reduce the acid ratio, and ultimately deplete the battery capacity. Inexperienced users can use glass or plastic droppers as refilling tools, adding 5ml of water to each hole. Do not use metal tools as water supply tools; if using a syringe, remove the metal needle and replace it with a plastic tube before use.
