For large machines like forklifts, once a fault occurs, maintenance becomes very time-consuming and labor-intensive, so daily maintenance becomes particularly important. Forklift maintenance is mainly divided into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. What do these levels mean respectively? Main contents of Level 1 forklift maintenance: 1. Check the engine oil level, oil viscosity, and the degree of dirt in the oil; 2. Clean the battery and add distilled water as needed; 3. Check the appearance and tightness of the fan belt; 4. Check the transmission, drive axle, working oil pump, and water pump drive device for abnormal noise; 5. Add lubricating oil or grease to the longitudinal linkage of the clutch and brake as needed; 6. Check the wear condition of the lift cylinder and tilt cylinder piston rods; if there are slight scratches, smooth them with a stone or fine abrasive cloth; 7. Check and tighten the tire bolts and nuts. Main contents of Level 2 forklift maintenance: 1. Clean the engine oil pan, crankcase, and the interior of the oil filter, and replace with new oil; 2. Clean the fuel tank and check whether the connection between the fuel line and the fuel pump is loose or leaking; 3. Check the distributor's contact points and adjust the periodic gap; 4. Check and tighten the bolts on all exposed parts of the generator; 5. Check the battery discharge capacity and charge if necessary; 6. Replace the cooling water in the radiator; 7. Check and adjust the free travel of the clutch and brake pedals, as well as the brake clearance of the wheel brakes; 8. Drain the sediment and water at the bottom of the working oil tank, clean the filter, and add new oil as appropriate; 9. Check whether the tightness of the two heavy chains is consistent; 10. Check whether the forklift's iron and fork heel are deformed or cracked. Main contents of Level 3 forklift maintenance: 1. Adjust the valve clearance; 2. Measure the cylinder pressure and check the reasons for unsatisfactory results; 3. Check the working performance of the clutch and adjust if necessary; 4. Check the free travel of the steering wheel and the connection of the steering tie rod, and check the wear condition of the steering knuckle pin and the steering fan arm pin; 5. Check the bearing wear condition of the clutch and brake pedal shaft; 6. Carry out a comprehensive cleaning of the forklift, and check and tighten all bolts and nuts on exposed parts.
