Improper use of forklifts can lead to serious accidents or casualties, which is a huge loss for both drivers and operators. To prevent accidents from occurring, WECAN has prepared a simple "Forklift Safety Operation Guide" for all drivers. When operating a forklift, what must be done and what must never be done—it is worth taking a look, and always keep "Safety First" in mind. Must: (Do not operate a forklift without a forklift license) • Must wear proper clothing suitable for driving • Must conduct equipment inspection in advance • Must use the three-point method when getting on and off • Must fasten the seat belt and wear a helmet • Must look around before starting • During operation, the forks must be 10–20 cm above the ground • Must ensure driving within a safe speed range (depending on road conditions and load) • Must pay attention to pedestrians, other equipment, and overhead conditions • Avoid emergency braking • Forks must be lifted gently • Must sound the horn when driving in aisles and at intersections • When reversing, always look behind, do not rely excessively on mirrors and reversing sensors • Forklifts must be parked in designated areas • The width of the forks must be reasonably controlled (greater than 2/3 of the pallet width) • The load weight must be within the forklift's rated load range • Must pay attention to overhead thresholds and obstacles • If using attachments, must ensure relevant training has been received beforehand • When going downhill with a load, must drive in reverse • When going uphill with a load, must drive forward • If visibility is blocked by the cargo when going uphill, must assign a spotter to ensure safety • When going uphill, the mast must be tilted back as far as possible to ensure the forks do not touch the ground • Must observe and listen in all directions to ensure people around you also notice you • Must remind pedestrians to be aware of their vehicles • Must ensure maintaining at least one arm's length distance from pedestrians • Pedestrians must be trained to understand the characteristics and risks of forklifts • After parking, must lower the forks to the ground • Must use the parking brake when parking • Must remove the key when leaving the forklift Strictly Prohibited: • Strictly prohibited to drive any forklift in an unsafe environment • Strictly prohibited to perform any hydraulic operations outside the cab • Strictly prohibited for drivers to perform other lifting operations with the forks • Turning around is prohibited when going up or down slopes • Strictly prohibited to repair forklifts without authorization • Strictly prohibited to drive with the forks raised • Strictly prohibited to answer phone calls while driving or lifting • Strictly prohibited to overload • Strictly prohibited to move any unstable load arbitrarily • Strictly prohibited to drive a forklift with the forks more than 20 cm above the ground • Strictly prohibited to handle large cargo that blocks visibility (except when moving slowly) • Do not park the forklift on slopes • Strictly prohibited for anyone to walk under a raised load • Strictly prohibited to park forklifts at emergency exits
