1. Model Selection: The choice is mainly determined based on the working site and application. Generally, crawler loaders are preferred for operations in quarries and on soft ground. 2. Power Selection: Diesel engines designed for construction machinery are commonly used. In special regions, such as areas at altitudes above 3,000 meters, specialized high-altitude diesel engines should be adopted. 3. Transmission Type Selection: Hydro-mechanical transmission is generally chosen. A key component is the selection of the torque converter type. Currently, most loaders produced in China are equipped with dual-turbine, single-stage, two-phase hydro-mechanical torque converters. 4. Braking System Considerations: When selecting a loader, full consideration must be given to its braking performance, including service braking, parking braking, and emergency braking. Brakes come in three types: shoe-type, caliper disc-type, and wet multi-disc type. The brake actuation mechanism typically employs a booster device, with power sources including compressed air, air-over-hydraulic, and hydraulic systems. Currently, the air-over-hydraulic braking system is commonly used, and dual-circuit braking systems are generally adopted to enhance driving safety. 5. Operating Conditions, Workload, and Operator Intensity: The selection of a loader is primarily based on factors such as operating conditions, workload, and operator intensity.
