The starter motor of a forklift is a relatively expensive component and generally does not fail easily. However, to extend its service life, routine maintenance and proper usage are also essential. To prevent overcurrent or damage to the battery, the starting time should not exceed 5 seconds; if the first attempt fails, wait 10-15 seconds before making a second attempt. 2. Do not engage the starter switch while the engine is running or before it has come to a complete stop, to avoid severe gear impact that could cause damage. Release the starter switch immediately after the engine starts. In winter, starting difficulties are common, so preheating is recommended; if multiple starts are needed, each start should be brief, with adequate intervals between attempts. 3.
