I. Daily Maintenance (after each shift or every 8-10 hours)
Cleaning and Inspection
Clean dirt and oil from the machine body, especially the radiator, engine compartment, and other areas. Check tire/track wear, air pressure, or tension (for tire-type machines). Check whether lights, instruments, and horn are functioning properly.
Lubrication Points
Apply grease (lithium-based grease) to lubrication points such as articulation pins, boom/bucket joints, etc., to ensure flexible movement of components.
Fluid Checks
Engine oil: Check the oil level (after 10 minutes of shutdown); top up if insufficient. Coolant: Check the level (must be done when the engine is cold) to avoid overheating due to low coolant. Hydraulic oil: Check the oil level; the oil should be clear and free of impurities. Brake fluid/transmission oil: Check the oil level (depending on model).
Fastening and Leaks
Check whether bolts and nuts (such as wheel hubs, drive shafts) are loose. Check for oil leaks (hydraulic lines, engine), water leaks, or air leaks.
II. Periodic Maintenance (by working hours or monthly)
1. 50-hour/Weekly Maintenance
Replace the engine oil filter (the first maintenance should be done earlier). Clean or replace the air filter (shorten the interval in dusty environments). Check battery electrolyte and terminals.
2. 250-hour/Monthly Maintenance
Replace engine oil (intervals may vary by brand; refer to the manual). Replace the hydraulic oil filter and check whether the hydraulic oil is emulsified or contaminated. Transmission/drive axle oil: Check oil quality and replace if necessary. Braking system: Check brake pad wear and brake line sealing.
3. 500-hour/Quarterly Maintenance
Replace the fuel filter and drain water from the water separator. Check the steering system: whether the steering cylinder and lines leak, and steering sensitivity. Electrical system: Check for aging wiring and clean the alternator and starter motor.
4. 1000-hour/Annual Maintenance
Comprehensive fluid replacement: including hydraulic oil, transmission oil, drive axle oil, and coolant. Clean the radiator: remove oil and debris to prevent overheating. Check the drivetrain: drive shaft, differential, and wheel-end reducer gear wear.
III. Seasonal Maintenance
Winter
Replace with low-viscosity engine oil (such as 5W-30) and antifreeze coolant. Add anti-gelling additive to the diesel tank (use -35# diesel in severely cold regions). After shutdown, drain water from the water tank and hydraulic system (if no antifreeze is used).
Summer
Focus on cleaning the radiator to avoid overheating. Check air conditioning refrigerant (if equipped).
IV. Long-term Storage Maintenance
Park in a dry, level place with the bucket flat on the ground. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and charge it periodically. Start once a month and operate the hydraulic system to prevent seals from aging.
Precautions
Use genuine parts: Inferior filters or fluids will accelerate wear. Keep a maintenance log: Track the next maintenance time and replacement items. Adjust for special working conditions: Maintenance intervals should be shortened in harsh environments such as mines and deserts.
Regular maintenance can reduce the failure rate by 80%. For specific intervals, please refer to the equipment manual. If abnormalities are found (such as abnormal noise or loss of power), stop the machine immediately for inspection and repair.
